Arrangement & Orchestration

I work across the full range of ensemble types — wind orchestra, brass ensembles, right up to full symphony orchestra — taking existing music and finding the best possible version of it for a different instrumental combinations.

That can mean a straightforward arrangement of a notated work, or something considerably more involved — often starting with no more than a melody and a basic harmonic outline and providing notation, accompaniment figures, harmonic development, the formal architecture, and all orchestration.

The recordings made with the Budapest Symphony Orchestra give some indication of the range and ambition of my work.
